Ms. Kate

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to fill everyone on what has been keeping me so busy that I am not able to keep up with the family blog.

It's Ms. Kate's fault(just kiddin')...she is one very excited little girl. She was chosen to play the Tuba for the Pflugerville Middle School(to us older folks, that is Jr. High), she is so excited she can hardly stop talking about it. What am I saying....she doesn't stop talking ever. She just found out day before yesterday and it has been a sea of chaos ever since. I keep thinking to myself (of course) what in the world was she thinking picking the TUBA!!! She told me she loved the deep sounds that it makes, she told me that she gets teased because her voice is such a little kid voice and that this was her "adult voice". I just don't know where she gets the little kid voice from...no idea. We are so proud of her and she is the happiest I've seen her in a very long time.

But..........

That is not everything, my dear sweet baby is finally having the surgery that will help her with her leg length discrepancy. We went down to Houston for a check-up on the 3rd of February and the doctors said that it could be 3-6 months before her name would come up on the list to be eligible for surgery. Well, God had a different plan and 35 days later she will be on the operating table. Honestly, I am a little scared, she is my baby and well NO parent wants to see there child in pain or hurt in any way. So I just have to keep reminding myself that this is for a good reason. I think about it and just start to cry, maybe there was something that I could have done while I was pregnant that would have prevented this, but I did everything I was suppose to, and God isn't going to give her (or me) any more then she can't handle. I just can't break in front of her. Keep her in your prayers and I wouldn't mind a few tossed my way, I know Jay wouldn't mind some
either, he is handling this WAY better then I am. Pray that we will all be strong enough to get through this. I know that others have been and are going through much worse, but I am just scared, she's my baby!!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still doing fine, we hit the ground running this semester and are very busy. I will tell you now that I will try to keep everyone posted on what is going on on our end of the world but that might prove to be difficult. I seem to be spread a little thin this semester(to bad that doesn't apply to my body), between 4 classes, religion, church, family, and serving as the Treasurer for Phi Theta Kappa I will be a little busy, so just bare with me this semester and remember we are just a phone call away.
Love to all,
US

Cool Cat!!

Well this is our newest addition to the family and her name is "Cool Cat", doesn't she look cute. I caught Maddie watching cartoons with Joe's sunglasses on and just had to catch it on film.

I took this one first and she didn't even know I was beside her until the camera flashed. She was waiting on her daddy to get home....I didn't have the heart to tell her that her daddy wasn't going to be home for 4 more days. She got a little sad when he didn't show up so I tried to distract her with Dora the Explorer....I'm such a terrible mother (LOL)!

Isn't she so pretty, I got this picture of Ms. Kate and she wanted me in it...don't know why, but here it is. She is turning into quite the little lady. She'll be going to Shriner's next month on the 3rd and she will be getting her braces as soon as she looses a couple more teeth on the top. She is getting excited and thinks it's going to be fun....I haven't told her yet that it isn't. I don't want to burst her bubble. She'll find out soon enough.

Potty Training---YUK!!!

Potty training is not fun!!! This was taken a couple days after Christmas and Charlie has been wearing underwear for awhile and has been doing pretty good on the whole potty training thing. He got a little excited and was playing with some Christmas toys and completely forgot to stop and go to the bathroom so Daddy got to clean the poo off. HA/HA/HA not me!!!!

Christmas Time!!!

Here is a picture of the Christmas tree before the kids woke up and it all goes crazy from here.

Charlie was so excited about his Car dishes...I don't know why but we always got the kids character dishes when they were old enough to start liking cartoon characters and Charlie loves Cars, he loves the movie and "Queen" that's what he calls Lighting McQueen, it is really cute and he has had every meal on them since.

The three older kids got iPods for their gifts from Jarett and I this year and they love them, all of them have about 100 songs already on them and half the time I have to yell at them because their earbuds are always in.

Ms. Maddie got a new bike and she loves it, her uncle bought it for her and she is riding it all around the house. I am not brave enough to let her ride it outside yet, not until she gets a helmet.

Nap time!!

Isn't this what nap time is suppose to look like...bodies all over the place and if I had sound you would have thought it was three freight trains. I think Charlie might have had "to much to drink" look at the crushed Dr. Pepper can by him on the floor.

Hide-n-seek!!

Bet you can't guess where I found Charlie when we were playing hide-n-seek? This is the bottom of our entertainment center. There is nothing in the bottom drawer or doors so he thought it would be fun to be in there.

My brother gave my mom and dad this entertainment center...they got it home and their TV wouldn't fit, so since we have a little TV they brought it to us.
